"FOODINI THE GREAT" ORIGINAL TV DIRECTOR CHILD'S CHAIR
- (c) 1950 R.C. Cox Corporation & Krimstock Bros. 18.5" x 17" x 22" (child-sized).
Wood frame with canvas seat and backrest. White & orange (peach-like) litho on green fabric backrest pictures various characters from early Bunin TV puppet show (FOODINI the magician, JOLO the clown and Foodini's inept assistant PINHEAD).
The name "AL" is professionally printed on back of backrest. An elaborate character premium from the "Golden Age of Television".
Condition is considered FAIR with miscellaneous surface/stain/edge wear. Scattered minor fabric edge fraying/tears. The exception is a 1.5" vertical tear on upper left edge of backrest. The fabric has been neatly glued onto wood frame to prevent further damage.
Overall, this fragile piece was obviously well preserved and still displays very well. Litho colors are still bold, bright & attractive (see photos).
An exceptional and RARE item with great visual appeal for the discriminating FOODINI, CHARACTER TOY and/or 1950s TV PUPPET SHOW enthusiast. On a condition code scale of 1 to 10, the above listed items are rated - (7-6).
