Description
Rupert Bearis a children's comic strip character created by British artist Mary Tourtel and first appearing in the Daily Express newspaper on November 8, 1920. In 1935, the stories were taken over by Alfred Bestall. Rupert is a well-known character in children's culture in the United Kingdom, and the success of the Rupert stories has led to the creation of several television series based on the character.
Vintage Pelham Puppets marionette with cross controller. No box.
TYPE SL RUPERT BEAR 1950's. Excellent condition. His face paint is nice and he has great looking clean clothes. Looks like all original strings connected to a nice correct original controller. No box.
Measures approximately 10" tall and about 36" from controller to stage floor.
