Description

1989 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am GTA Convertible, 5.0L TPI, 5-speed,
59,000 original miles, all stock and original, runs and drives as new.
Original paint, in very good condition, super straight with barely a door ding.
The only blemish is a key scratch (about 12-inches long) on the bottom
half of the passenger door.  See photos.
Desert southwest vehicle, no rust; this car is clean and solid from top to bottom.
The convertible top is in excellent condition.
The interior is immaculate; the only blemish is that the leather on the
driver's seat has some wear and tear, primarily on the left side bolster (see photo).
This unique car has rare performance options including the dual catalytic
converter exhaust system and the large (11-inch) rear wheel disc brakes.
This car has essentially every option available in a GTA..
I am the second owner of this car; and have owned it for 20 years.
This car has always been garaged, since new.
This car has been well maintained; the air conditioner works great
(has new A/C compressor).
It has an alarm system with two remote control key fob's.
Steering wheel stereo controls all work fine.
Everything works in this car, except that the power antenna motor is not
working (it's in the up position and functions as a fixed antenna).

Factory produced Firebird Convertibles (made by ASC for General Motors)
were extremely rare in 1989.  Available documentation shows that only nine of
these cars (Trans Am or GTA models) were produced with the 305 tuned port
injected engine.  This car was special ordered with the manual transmission
by the original owner.  It's highly probable that this was the only
GTA convertible produced in 1989 with the manual transmission.
This car will look good on anybody's showroom floor, as is.
If you like 3rd generation Firebirds and could only have one model
as a collector, this would be the ideal one to have.
