This listing features a very unique vintage Chinese string puppet doll. The handmade marionette doll came back from a gentleman named Jack Hunter after World War 2.Hunter served in Germany during World War 2 as a translater and later wrote the best-seller Blue Max. He lived here in St. Augustine,Florida and I got to know him and his wife Shirley ( Tommy) personally. Jack received this marionette from an officer who had served in China at the end of the war and later transfered to the end of the European theatre. The marionette is 21 inches in length.
