Description

The
Nakamichi Dragon
is the premiere vintage cassette deck, famously incorporating the highly regarded NAAC system for automatic azimuth correction of the playback head. Thanks to the NAAC system, sound quality differences between forward and reverse playback are completely eliminated, and perfect playback is possible under all conditions. Furthermore, manual calibration facilities for record sensitivity and bias permit high precision adjustment to suit the requirements of every tape.
This unit (
built in
1983
!!!) is in excellent condition, completely functional with a few signs of wear (please see pictures for details). It underwent a complete rebuild service
performed personally by
Willy Hermann
in March 2017. The original service documents will be provided with deck at purchase. As you can expect from W. H. Services it was an utmost professional job with "several known to fail components replaced preemptively" and verification/testing performed for correct function. Please check the image of the service document for a fully detailed list of completed services. The unit has been kept in a shaded, dust-free, non-smoking, environment with no pets. It has been used once a week to ensure its mechanisms are kept active and its belts mobile. Features include the NAAC (both directions), recording functions, headphone output, RCA in/out, and Dolby B/C, all of which are working perfectly. Knobs and switches are tight and operate smoothly.
The deck will be packaged carefully, insured with USPS, and require signature upon arrival if applicable. Payments must be received within 3 days. Will only ship to confirmed addresses. Feel Free to ask any questions before purchase!
OWNERS MANUAL AND ORIGINAL BOX ARE  NOT INCLUDED.
