The following auction is for a Vintage Pelham Puppets Red Haired Boy or Girl Wood Puppet Doll
Maker:  Pelham Puppets Made in England impressed on wood handle.
Materia
l:  Wood with cotton clothing.
Features:  This Pelham Puppets Red Haired Boy or Girl Wood Puppet Doll has a wood head, body and limbs.  He or she wears blue shirt with white polka dot print, long red pants and painted yellow wood shoe/feet.  The head is carved or machine lathed wood ball with painted eyes, nose and smile features.  His or her hair is red wool felt.  Wood puppeteer's handle has ID imprinted on underside and black strings connect to the puppet's arms and top of head.
Limbs:  Puppet limbs are articulated seperate segments of wood strung which allows arms to be manipulated for different poses.  The hands are wood disks.
Body:  Three pieces of wood glued together with a hole drilled through the smallest segment to allow the leg cording to attach both legs.
Height: Approximately 9 inches (23.5 cm) height.
Age:  Approximately 1960s give or take 10 years.  Clothing reminds me of early 1960s.
Condition:   Used but doll and clothes are still very clean and intact.  No box.  Please look at photographs for these details.  After all is said and done, he's a great reminder of a great show.
